We are thrilled to share that we will be touring with our own adaptation of Tchaikovsky's 'The Nutcracker' in December, a full concert featuring the classic ballet orchestral suite and timeless Christmas pieces!
This arrangement is for viola, cello, oboe, harp and four-handed piano, written by Edyta Mydlowska and Jole Kosonen ! This exciting project has each instrument playing unusual parts and sound effects, it's so much fun for us, and we can't wait to share this with you. And in true WICM style, the second half of the concert will feature smaller chamber ensembles performing all your Christmas favourites, with arrangements by Jole Kosonen and Sam McAdam !
At each one of these concerts, WICM will be running a toy drive for Glasgow Women's Aid. This time of year can be very difficult on women and children who are sheltering, and so we want to help these families in any way that we can.
We will be performing this concert in Helensburgh, Bothwell (Greater Glasgow), and Oban!
